Navigate The City’s Urban Transport Landscape At Sustainability Drinks Bangalore

Sustainability Drinks Bangalore (SDB) Edition 7 is back on Tuesday, 11th July 2017 at The Humming Tree, Indiranagar, with the theme – Urban Transport. The event will host a panel discussion among urban transport experts with a focus on environmental and social sustainability. Experts will be from organisations as varied as GIZ, Lithium Cabs, WRI Sustainable Cities and IISc. The event is aimed to raise awareness and familiarity about one of the city’s thorniest issues – urban transport. This event is open for all.
Along with the panel discussion, attendees will witness a storytelling session on urban transport and play board games themed around transport and mobility in urban India. To reserve a slot, please register.

Sustainability Drinks Bangalore (SDB) are monthly get-togethers to promote an active sustainability movement in Bangalore. We host interesting speakers and meet in a cozy, stimulating atmosphere. Everybody is welcome to network over a drink and get new ideas through inspiring talks.
Organizer of Sustainability Drinks is Ecofolk, an organization that works in creating awareness around conscious consumption in India.Starting March 2016 SDB has covered topics such as conscious living, sustainable architecture, circular economy, free range living and activism. The event has connected over 200 professionals and enthusiasts from the city and continues to create a space for like-minded people to collaborate.

Ecofolk works to create awareness around Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) in India. Our vision is to empower people to identify as citizens more than mere consumers of things and work towards creating a society where economic growth or personal prosperity doesn’t come at the cost of the environment. We are a volunteer run, not-for-profit initiative and we conduct tailor-made workshops and events to bring about a more sustainable culture and start a new national conversation around SCP. Our Volunteer teams consist of young Designers, Consultants, Entrepreneurs, and Students who are based in Bangalore and come from all parts of India.

The Humming Tree is an arts, music and performance space in Bangalore, India, open since June 2013. At the present moment, along with major international artists who are touring with us, we’re curating 25+ programmes a month including fantastic music gigs, fun workshops, film screenings, exhibitions, cultural performances, theatre, spoken word poetry, reading and storytelling sessions and other educational gatherings. We aim at providing a platform for the different arts, keeping in mind the beautifully varied resources and audiences we have access to. In addition to the performance venue, we run a fresh, unique kitchen and bar service.
